So you'll have to excuse me while I brag for a minute about my husband. I KNOW-- I KNOW--I seriously KNOW--I can't stand braggers. It actually drives me NUTS, especially on blogs. But I really want to brag for HIM, not ME. So here it is...(and I apologize AGAIN)

On top of a CRAZY work schedule, this dude spent lots of early mornings, late nights, and weekends studying for tests, putting together applications, and networking like crazy. His hard work has paid off and we are soooo excited to get to stay in Chicago for 2 more years!!
He'll be starting business school at the University of Chicago Booth in September of 2011.
We couldn't be more excited and I couldn't be more happy for him. He has been a great example of perseverance & hard work. He's so disciplined and some days makes me feel completely lazy.
Selfishly, I'm so happy we get to stay in Chicago for longer. I can't bear the thought of leaving all of the AMAZING friends that we have made and venturing off to a new place with a brand new baby. Although Chicago is likely not a long-term place for us, we both are so happy we get to stay for now!!

That is so great! We are so happy for him. That is great you won't have to do a big move with a baby either. 2011 is a special year!

Ahhh, just commented on face, but disregard my question!
Ahh, this is so exciting!! Congrats CHANCE!! and some are in order for you too! I imagine there were difficult moments when you had to sacrifice nights, mornings and weekends for him to study. I know getting into Booth is only the beginning to days like that, but it must feel SO great to have the stress of admittance out of the way!
Ryan and I toured Booth and it seems like such a great school!
Woohoo, and now when I move back we will only be a couple hours from each other! Baby time!

As long as we leave his schooling in the family. University of Chicago BOOTH. What are the odds.
I think Brett is going to the Univeristy of Utah Olson.
